Core Design Features

Foundational principles and long-term vision of the Beezlebop project

Core Design Features

- Layer 1: Free 2 Play (F2P) -

  • Gameplay - the core gameplay mechanics will involve a multiplayer, turn-based, monster slaying PvE adventure through a strange, procedurally-generated world involving equipment and inventory management, power progression via a level system and skill tree, and a set of seasonal competitive ladders.

  • User Generated World - quest lines throughout the game will be global so that the entire player-base can contribute to their completion and benefit from the rewards unlocked, such as new in-game items and gameplay mechanics.

  • Hardcore Ladder - a competitive ladder will run quarterly which will rank players across games played without the use of the Token-gated Progression systems.

  • Browser-based - to maximize player accessibility, the game is built in Phaser.js and is designed to run on any and all devices with a browser and an internet connection.

  • Authoritative Server - the game will be rendered in the browser, but all game logic will be validated server-side to secure and legitimize both of the associated with-game and extra-game economic layers.

- Layer 2: Token-gated Progression (TGP) -

  • Tokenomics - while all in-game items will initially be managed by a centralized server, various tokens on the Ronin Network will still play a core role in the gameplay and economy including Axies, SLP, AXS, RON and custom designed contracts such as a Character Sheet (ERC-721), Pocket-Dimension (SBT), Universal Vials (ERC-20), and Radiant Leadership Potion (ERC-1155).

  • Marketplace - a hybrid approach will be taken to generate and support a peer-to-peer economy revolving around loot drops from the game, stored and managed by the Authoritative Server with purchases powered by token transfers on the Ronin Network.

  • Normal Ladder - For those committed to progressively strengthening their Champion Axie and pushing the limits of the game, a secondary competitive ladder will operate alongside the Hardcore Ladder that allows the use of any of the Token-gated Progression systems within a game session.

  • Progressive Ascension - For those who demonstrate sublime commitment to the progression of their Champion Axie, a 3rd and highest tier of competitive ladder will operate that ranks the in-game wealth and knowledge accumulation in the form of loot, Character Sheet progression, and gameplay statistics.

  • Interoperability - the long-term goal of this project is to facilitate more use-cases for existing tokens on the Ronin Network and generate additional means of interoperability in the Axie Ecosystem including novel, Ronin-enabled tokens and external API calls to the Authoritative Server for web2.5-based items, marketplace listings, and more.
